Dr. Harinder Kaur Virdee is an experienced General Practitioner based in Cambridge, offering comprehensive and compassionate medical care to a diverse patient population. Dr. Virdee currently also works as a Salaried GP at Newnham Walk Surgery, Cambridge, where she manages a patient cohort that includes a significant proportion of university students as well as residents from the city centre. Dr. Virdee is actively involved in the practice’s on-call rota and provides Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) services.
Additionally, she contributes to extended access shifts through the Cambridge GP Network and undertakes locum work as needed.

Dr. Virdee’s earlier career included partnerships and salaried GP positions in Cambridge, Kent, and London, where she gained extensive experience in practice management, electronic record-keeping, and delivering patient-centred care. She was instrumental in implementing a paperless system at Barnard Medical Practice in Sidcup and has continuously embraced technological advancements in primary care.
In 2024, she expanded her professional contributions by becoming a trained GP appraiser, supporting fellow GPs in their professional development and ensuring high standards of practice within the field.
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Virdee is passionate about maintaining a balanced and active lifestyle. She enjoys yoga, fitness training, and travel, with a particular love for skiing trips with her three sons. A keen cook, she takes a special interest in Indian cuisine and enjoys exploring diverse culinary traditions from around the world.

Hari’s working days are Thursdays and some Saturdays at the Nuffield Hospital in Cambridge.
