Dr Harriet Bowers

Harriet qualified from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Medical School in 2006 and gained Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2011. She has over 15 years’ experience working as an NHS GP in Cambridge and West Essex.

Background

Harriet qualified in 2006 from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Medical School, with Distinction in Clinical Sciences.

After completing her Foundation Years training at Salisbury District Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, Harriet went on to GP training in Cambridge. Here she undertook speciality rotations in Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Geriatric Medicine, Rheumatology and Palliative Care. Harriet achieved Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2011.

After 10 years working as a GP in South Cambridge, Harriet moved to a practice closer to home in West Essex, where she continues to work for the NHS with interests in Women’s Health and Mental Wellbeing.

Harriet holds a Diploma in Coaching and Mentoring and serves in pastoral roles, supporting NHS doctors at Addenbrooke’s Hospital and primary care staff in East Anglia.

With 15 years of GP experience, Harriet enjoys the holistic nature of General Practice. Her patients find her kind, thorough and professional.

Harriet works on Tuesday mornings at the Saffron Walden Clinic.
